Assam Police Recruitment 2020 Details
1. Constable of Police (Communication)
No of Posts: 802 Posts
Educational Qualification: 10+2 (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised Board or Council.
Preferential Qualification: One year experience in Electronics, Telecommunication, Computer, IT or Allied Environment.
2. Constable of Police (UB)
No of Posts: 03 Posts
Educational Qualification: HS or Class- XII Passed from a recognised Board or Council.
3. Constable of Police (Messenger)
No of Posts: 07 Posts
Educational Qualification: HSLC Passed or equivalent from a recognised Board or Council and having Driving License in LMV & MMV.
4. Constable of Police (Carpenter)
No of Posts: 01 Post
Educational Qualification: HSLC Passed or equivalent from a recognised Board or Council and passed prescribed ITI course in trade.
5. Sub Officer
No of Posts: 03 Posts
Educational Qualification: Class-XII Passed or equivalent (Science) having Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised Board or Council.
6. Firemen
No of Posts: 410 Posts
Educational Qualification: Class-XII passed (Science).
7. Emergency Rescuer
No of Posts: 57 Posts
Educational Qualification: Class-XII passed (Science).
Other Eligibility Criteria of Assam Police
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Citizen, ordinarily resident of Assam.
Pay Scale: Rs.14000 – Rs.49000 (Pay Band No. 2) with admissible Grade pay plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Age Limit: Post wise age limit details are below mentioned.
For the Posts of Sub-Officer: 20 years to 24 years as on 1st January of 2020 (i.e. the candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2000 and after 01.01.1996).
For the Posts of Constable: 18 years to 25 years as on 1st January of 2020 (i.e. the candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2002 and after 01.01.1995).
Age Relaxation: Category wise age relaxation will be as below followed.
5 years in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST(P) and ST(H).
3 years in respect of candidates belonging to OBC/ MOBC.
Upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years in respect of Trained Home Guards who have served for a minimum period of 3 years or more. (Certificate to this effect from competent authority will have to be submitted)
For the purpose of determining the age limit, the SLPRB will accept only the date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate issued by a recognised education Board. No other documents relating to age such as horoscopes, affidavits, birth extracts from Municipal Corporations, service records and the like will be accepted.
